When my kids ask me, 'Mom, does it hurt when we get bombarded? Do we feel the pain, or do we just die at once?' and I have to tell them, 'No, don't worry. It's not going to hurt.' But when it comes to my children, it just hits me so hard, Dina, and I just feel that I can't control it anymore. I can't be that strong, brave woman who's able to control things or get things under control because they're my weak part. She doesn't eat much. She doesn't feel like doing anything. I tried to speak to her about things, you know, bring back some happy memories, and I said, as usual, 'What would you like to do the first thing after this war ends?' She told me, 'Mommy, I don't want to do anything except for this war to end. I just want these bombardments to end, everything—the destruction, the despair, the loss.'

I think they tell you that now—we're just hearing news of people dying every now and then—people that we know, friends, colleagues, everyone around us. And it just, you know, really, like, 'May he rest in peace,' and that's it. I just—we just go on because we were just waiting for our turn. You mentioned to me that food is scarce and supplies are low. What is the water situation? We can starve, right? We can go on without food, even as adults. But without water, I'd rather die from bombardments than die from thirst. I don't want my kids at the end to die from thirst. Are you still thinking to move south, and what would that look like? The last attempt was a couple of days ago, and we found out that to move south, we need to walk for at least 6 to 7 km on foot and not carry anything at all with us—none of our belongings. Basically, walk this distance while we raise our hands to show that we surrender, just holding our IDs in one hand and raising the other. And I think that's just extremely humiliating. And it's not just that, you know?

You remember the massacre that everyone saw on TV screens for the civilians that were bombarded on the road? They're still lying there. Until this day, lying there in the streets, their bodies. The crows and the birds are eating from them, and no one has been able to pick them up. The Israeli army has not allowed anyone or ambulances or any medical teams to come to pick these people up and to bury them. How can I let my kids go through a street while they see other children and other people killed and thrown just like that, lying in the street like that, while birds are eating from them? I think that this is just inhumane and more cruel than anything. This is not to worry about fighting Hamas or Palestinian fighters. This war began by eliminating and wiping out the Palestinian people in Gaza. This isn't a war against Palestinian fighters nor Hamas; it's a genocide against Gaza.

And he became completely calm and relaxed.

And why had you said that to someone you barely knew?

Why were you trying to comfort him?

And why had he let you?

He realized this was your ability: controlling emotions. Or at least altering them.

It was...nice

He hadn't been hugged in a while.

And yours was warm.

The scarlet at last fading away.

"Thank you for that... I appreciate it."

From then on he's seeking you out.

With melody, he has to be cautious with what he says.

He doesn't want to say anything that would frighten her or complicate things for himself.

But if he's talking with you, he could say just about anything and you'd listen.

You would have no clue what he was talking about, but you would be there.

And it was like talking to a wall

Except the wall brought temporary joy into his very dark and devoid world.

A bright light that couldn't be darkened no matter what thanks to your naivety.

And maybe it's endearing when you trip on air in public and say-

"I'm stumbling over my success."

Maybe it makes him smile when you ask about his nen chains and narrow it down to 'a portable prison.'

Maybe he does want you to fill the silence he's used to with ramblings about 'why vases are too fragile these days.'

He may like you, but his motive comes first.

His clan's eyes will always come first

However, he can't stop himself from indulging with what might be a happy future with you.

Especially after seeing you cave someone's skull in with one punch during a task from the Nostrade family.

He's so relieved that yes, you had great physical strength and a useful ability.

It means he'll let you follow him to fulfill his vengeance against the Spiders

He only babies you when it's something serious.

Like if you're about to chop your finger off while cooking.

He's running into the kitchen and taking the knife from you.

Or if you're about to get hit by a car because you saw something cool across the street.

He's using his chains to pull you back, and then proceeds to lecture you for the next ten minutes.

But anything else?

If you're lost, you'll find him eventually.

If you swapped out the pepper and salt, he's laughing, but hopes you learned your lesson.

Doesn't buy you fancy things because he knows you don't care about stuff like that.

It was just him being a little embarrassed to admit it was a date.

And you know what happened?

You two got kicked out because you kept breaking the fancy silverware and plates.

But it did make him laugh to see you try to hide the evidence under the table cloth

Calls you: my love, dearest, sunny, little clown, baby (derogatory), and if he's feeling playful-mighty warrior.

He has trouble communicating, so having a stable relationship is difficult.

But he tries, even if he's not there all that much.

Won't feel jealous, but instead a little insecure that you would get bored and leave.

Even if he knows you're a fool with a heart of gold and would never do that

It's just the part of his brain that has to consider every possible outcome.

But if the way your eyes light up every time you see him, even if it's just been five minutes, is anything to go by....

Then he has absolutely nothing to worry about.

Kurapika just hopes his pursuit of his clan's eyes don't scare you away or dim the light you bring with you.

Am I delulu for assuming Kishi writes Naruto events in a vacuum? Like he will like an idea put into the story with no care for how it would influence the other ideas in it. Like the whole Uchiha massacre is such a cool plot idea in part one that has you thinking about why an entire clan is gone and who could even be able to do something like that. Then you start to think for about five minutes and it’s just like huh?

Unless Konoha erected a sound barrier around the Uchiha compound you mean to tell me no one heard or saw them trying to escape or heard their screams? It would have been cool to see how Orwellian Konoha had gotten if Kishi had shown people just ignoring them asking for help or just blocking it out with ear plugs or something. The Uchiha were given the Police force to control, and you mean to tell me not one of them had built a meaningful relationship outside of their clan?

The Hyuga are the only other dojutsu clan in Konoha now that the Uchiha are gone and that doesn’t worry them? Konoha has stopped being the protection it once was and now it’s harming the Hyuga more than helping. It’s weird how Hiashi doesn’t take Sasuke in afterwards with the excuse that the Hyuga are only ones that could reasonably help him with his dojutsu, betroth him to Hanabi and leave.

Idk I think Kishi had some interesting elements laid out in Naruto and it’s disappointing to see them not taken that extra step forward. I know Naruto is a shonen and what I’m talking about is probably a whole other genre, but it hurts to see some of the potential in Naruto left aside.

About people not hearing anything during the massacre, I always assumed it was because their compound was located in the outskirts and probably far from the rest of the village. That is why Danzo wanted to segregate them, to make them easier to control and easier to kill. But I think it is safe to assume that the Uchiha didn't really have friendly relationships with the rest of the clans of Konoha. I believe there must have been a bias against them, not only because they were forced into a job position that was not bound to inspire much sympathy, but because nobody seemed to have a problem with their oppression. Nobody seems to care that the Uchiha were excluded from leadership, and in the anime nobody seems to care when Fugaku protests their segregation. The rest of the clan representatives remain silent as Fugaku's claims are dismissed by the Hokage.

You know, I don't want to bring any real life examples because I don't want anyone to be offended if an anime blog starts talking about real genocides. But it is sadly possible for people to see murder and cruelty before their eyes and do nothing. I don't know if that was exactly the case here, maybe they did not hear the screams that night, but the events leading to the massacre did not happen overnight. There was a structural oppression against the Uchiha, there was pseudoscientific racist bullshit spread by Konoha's leaders and the Uchiha were intentionally excluded. And nobody seemed to have any problem with that.

I also agree that it is weird there is no apparent relationship between the Uchiha and the Hyuga. You know, apart from the government-sanctioned bias against the Uchiha, since the Uchiha were excluded from normal ninja missions (apart from a few exceptions), I guess, there was less opportunity to create bonds or a sense of teamwork with other clans. And maybe this contributed to their ostracism. That is how I would explain their lack of relationship, but I agree that in reality it is probably due to lazy writing. Also, since each clan has its own set of traditions and, most importantly, its own secret techniques, I find unlikely that they would take someone from an outsider clan. To be honest, good riddance. I don't think Sasuke would have been any happy under the rule of that enslaver Hiashi.

But I feel you, yeah. The lost opportunities in this manga are extremely painful.

You’re lab-made, like Homelander, and they used some of Soldier Boy’s DNA making you, which means he considers himself your older brother. He’s ecstatic about ‘not being alone’ anymore. It’s very intimidating, but you quickly see what a privilege it is to automatically get into his good graces. You’re protected, which is actually really helpful because you’ve never been out of the lab before and it’s really overwhelming. The fighting and power part, you’ve got handled; the social? Not so much.

Backstory: After taking over Vought, Homelander found out about your existence, the only other successful test tube Supe. He was pissed. Broke you out of the lab, incited and helped you kill all the workers who ever kept you locked up or experimented on you.

Now to the fun part: Cate and Luke find the particular mix of your strength and navieté intoxicating. 

Canon Divergence: Cate told Luke what was going on soon after Indira asked her to (Indira asked her too much too soon, not enough loyalty earned yet here). They stormed and exposed The Woods to rescue Sam, a bit of a massacre still happened and Cate and Luke were appointed the Guardians of Godolkin. Luke became part of the Seven as Golden Boy as everyone expected, but Cate followed to Vought Tower on her own merit. Sam’s still around. The Godolkin Gang is still alive, they're just still in GU. This is a darker version of Luke bc I love when he cracked <3

They start by befriending you. They’re so nice! And your age, to boot! How lucky really, that they're just so easy to be around. Wouldn't have anything to do with Cate using her powers to pick up on your thoughts and steer themselves in the right direction to gain your trust and put you at ease, of course.

They offer to teach you about what normal people do; Cate especially smiles sweetly as she mentions her own isolated childhood, saying she has the best tips to get used to people and catch up on stuff.

Luke though… he’s just kind and reassuring. Always making sure people don’t crowd you too much, that you don’t get overwhelmed… Shows you his favorite things to do, since he's the one with the most normal childhood (and isn't that a fun thought). Sam joins sometimes, and you relate to him due to the being locked up and experimented thing, too. Really, it's like you were custom made to fit in Cate and Luke's lives.

They have to tread the fine line that is getting your attention without upsetting the balance that is having Homelander be overprotective over you.

Homelander actually finds it amusing and adorable. Says that as his sibling, a superior even among Supes, you deserve your own fans, and at least they’re decent Supes on their own rights. 

He takes his brotherly duties seriously, and when he gives them a shovel talk it’ll be terrifying. He encourages you to use them, to have fun. Cate and Luke are mildly terrified he'll realized they're trying to manipulate you, but he's confident that as his sibling that just couldn't happen.

Like it'd be hard for them to sway you one way or another with their kind words and reassuring smiles, their encouraging touches. You just killed someone on accident because you got overwhelmed and lost control of your powers? Don't worry, Cate will make sure no one remembers anything, and Luke will burn any evidence away. Anything you want to do or try, they'll encourage as long as you take them with, like two smooth-voiced deviled in your shoulders. Isn't one of those supposed to be and angel? The cartoons they showed you seem to indicate so, but it's not like you're eager to complain.

You were already kind of screwed up due to growing up in a socially limited environment, only being experimented on and trained, and killing the ones who ‘raised’ you didn’t exactly make you more stable.

Now, with such influences around you, who knows what you’ll become?

Comparisons between Israelis and Nazis -Comparing Israelis to Nazis is wrong on so many levels.

In case you aren't aware, the holocaust was a premeditated and carefully planned genocide, that lasted 6 years. 6 MILLION Jews were killed and all of their possessions were stolen. It followed hundreds of years of persecution, violence, and discriminatory laws. They were also starved and enslaved in different sorts of manual labor, in addition to being experimented on. They were held in Ghettos and concentration camps. In the aftermath of the war, Jews were completely driven out of their land and face prosecution across the world to this day. The existence of Israel allows Jews to live free of that. The Israel-Hamas war following October 7th is a war against a terrorist organization that invaded Israel and massacred its civilians. Unfortunately, due to Hamas' tactics, there are a lot of Palestinian civilian casualties. While they are wrong- the treatment of Palestinians and the bombing of Gaza are nothing like what the Nazis did.

At least invent something new, this is giving Medivel blood libels used by the church lol. -We do not go around killing innocent Palestinian babies for fun. Hamas, the terrorist organization. -We're not all white, this conflict does not revolve around race: There are many Jewish Israelis from the same countries that Palestinians originated from (i.e: Egyptian & Jordanian Jews ). -Israelis perceive Palestinians as lesser human'- This claim is usually supported by mistranslation of Hewbew and out-of-context Interviews. The phrase חיות אדם (Chayot Adam, savages, acting like animals) was obviously often used to describe Hamas terrorists who took part in the October 7th masssacre. We do not call or treat Palestinians as "animals" or savages. All of the referenced instances were about those Hamas terrorists.

-There isn't a 'Gaza Ministry of Health', it's all Hamas. The number of Palestinian casualties and other claims they make are not to be trusted. Most of the casualties are terrorists.

So what is my point?

It is important to note that am not ignoring any of the Palestinian deaths. I’m not saying they should die either. Please stop assuming I do!!

All I’m saying is that Israeli victims matter as well. For some reason, some people cannot comprehend that Israeli civilians do not deserve to die just because of where they live.

You wouldn’t call for the death of all Americans/ Europeans/ South Africans etc… while they committed actual genocide & apartheid.

FFXIV Write 2024 - Prompt #21 - Shade

Spoiler Warnings: Spoilers through the first half of Stormblood.

Summary: The sight of smoke on the horizon brings back an old memory, something best not remembered. That memory might also be her only path forward.

It had been a long time since she'd heard those words, heard the darker side of herself made manifest, and yet Aelita found she couldn't shake them.

Especially not here. Not now.

It had been a simple reconnaissance mission in preparation for a joint attack on Castellum Velodyna: her, the twins, and Pipin. Unfortunately, all they’d managed to scout were plumes of smoke on the horizon and the hot glow of fire emanating from what appeared to be the Reach. They'd all run back as quickly as they could, but the sinking feeling of being too late had begun gnawing away at Aelita's insides.

You won't make it. Not without me.

They’d encountered Krile and Arenvald on the road back, escorting a handful of injured soldiers who'd managed to escape the fighting.

There was a shared unspoken thought amongst the four of them: If this is what's left of the survivors, then what must it be like at the Reach?

You can't save them. You're not strong enough. But I am.

They wouldn't have to wait long to find out.

It was immediately apparent after crossing into what had been their base of operations that it had been a massacre. Imperial troops and Skulls everywhere, civilians taken hostage, and resistance fighters she'd spoken with only hours before lying dead in the sand.

Aelita tried to survey the rest of the scene as best she could through the smoke as they charged ahead. And that was when she saw it: Lyse, frozen in shock beneath the watchful eye of Fordola, the traitor they'd met before, and in front of her was… Oh no. Navigator, it can't be…

Y'shtola lay in the dirt, unconscious and oozing blood from a huge gash that stained her white coat a sickening shade of red.

For the first time since that fateful day in Whitebrim, a familiar shade appeared before Aelita.

When will be enough for you? When will you realize that this is what you get for playing pretend? For thinking you can be the hero, all on your own?

Aelita had no words, no answers for the shadowy reflection that stood before her.

Aelita took a deep breath. Navigator, forgive me for what I do. She extended her hands to the shade, palms facing the sky, and her reflection quickly took them in her own.

Aelita felt the power flow into her, an overwhelming wave of dark energy. She could feel some small part of her, the real her, being tossed about like a ship in a storm, searching for anything that might be a safe harbor. I'll find that calm again. This will not be the end. It's just what must be done, for now, she thought, trying to reassure herself that she hadn't unleashed a demon that she couldn't hope to contain. It was the last thought she had before the shade gained control.

I have a slightly weird question and I'm sorry if this comes off in any way negatively but I'm worried as all fuck.

I'm Irish, living in Ireland, but American politics has a huge influence over here. Conservative groups here pay folks from American lobby groups to come speak at their events to push banning abortion or queer/trans rights or denying asylum seekers. Not to mention the reach of social media and how a bunch of far right/fascist groups over here get riled up by people on the other side of the Atlantic to start riots and shit.

The prospect of trump being re-elected terrifies me because as bad as it is now, it was even worse when he was in power. Even if Biden didn't have a blue congress for this term it was still better. I'm sorry if this sounds like fear mongering or being unreasonable or naive but that's just way it seemed to me.

I don't know how to help y'all across the pond, I don't know what I can do from here. But is there anything we can do?

Hey, I thought about how to answer this for a while, so sorry it's taken almost a day to get back with you.

The reason I am so outspoken about Americans voting (and people from ALL countries who have a chance to stop fascism from taking over) is that there are FAR more progressive people than there are fascists. The fascists are just louder.

The problem is that progressive people are not playing the same game as fascists. The right wants total domination. They want to be able to jail or kill people who disagree with them. Whereas the left wants fairness, a right to choose, and peace.

The right has no qualms about using less than savory tactics to achieve their goals. Among these tactics are jailing people who disagree with them, denying those people the ability to vote, and engaging in voter suppression. The left believes that if they hold the course and play by the rules, everyone will eventually fall in line.

And, worst of all, the left currently believes in moral victory over damage control. A moral victory to the progressive left means voting for someone who has no bad marks on their record, and they continuously fail to see that that person does not exist. Whereas the right treats their chosen candidate as a god despite what they've done. The right will rally behind one person regardless of their actions, and that makes them terrifying.

In the United States, Republicans only make up about 25% of the population, and yet they account for half the vote. This is, in large part, because of voter suppression. But it's also because there are a lot of progressive voters who are refusing to vote because they believe this sends a message.

The best thing you can do is get the word out to everyone you know that not voting ONLY sends a message to the people who will be harmed by the result. One vote does not make too much of a difference. But a hundred votes? A THOUSAND votes? Every single vote adds up to something that WILL make a difference. And right now, the important task for everyone, both in the United States and abroad, is to impress on just how important it is to stop fascism from spreading.

Biden has done a lot of good things, but people tend not to listen to this. What they see is a man who allowed genocide. What they see is a man who has committed war crimes. A man who has allowed the transportation of weapons to Israel for use in this massacre. And they are all RIGHT.

But the alternative is worse. One of two parties will take the presidency. This is not in question. There has NEVER been a true independent candidate who has won in the history of the United States. And although people will point out that different parties HAVE won, it is only because they were backed by a political machine, and those parties then went on to become the current two party system we suffer with today.

An election year is not the time to challenge the electoral system, but it's only during election years that it seems to be brought up. So besides encouraging your American friends to vote against fascism, you should encourage them to work between elections to change the electoral system so that different parties have a chance at winning, and so the popular vote means more that the numbers achieved through the electoral college.

That's the most important right now.

Why is everyone here pro-Lexa? Like don't get me wrong I absolutely love Lexa as a character and Alycia is a queen, but why all the hate towards some of the other characters, like Bellamy? I've never watched The 100 the whole way through (literally exited outta the show the second Lexa died), even then, it's been years since I watched it. Did I miss something while I was binge-watching, or was my teenage brain at the time just too immature to realize he was a total jackass..? Also, it's not just Bellamy, I've also seen hate for Bob, the actor who plays him. Which brings me to another question: does this fandom not like Eliza? I always see so much support when Alycia has an upcoming project or is posting Instagram updates but nothing for Eliza? Again, no judgment for the Alycia love because I completely understand why everyone here is head over heels in love with that girl but I just wanted to know, has Eliza ever done anything wrong? Or have I just conveniently only stumbled upon Alycia stans on this app?

Long post so you can read under the cut. Long time clexas you can just skip if you want because honestly I got annoyed all over again just typing it and you know it all already 🥴

Now right off the top, you don't have to hate Bellamy if you don't want to. It's not like that's a prereq for being a clexa, so if you like him, like him and don't worry about what anyone says. He's a fictional character so anyone who gets intense over someone liking him I think needs to take a walk.

But the reason why a lot of Clexas, myself included, hate him is somewhat of a two part answer. The main reason being is that his character is trash 😅. I mean I'm not gonna dissect every little bit of canon but the main points for me at least, since I can't speak for anyone else, are that he was constantly fucking up literally everything. He gets to earth, proclaims "tHeRe aRe nO RuLeS" and then,,, immediately declares himself the leader and starts forcing people to follow what he says. He literally almost let Clarke fall into a pit of spikes, tried to handcuff her and keep her hostage "for her own good", he spearheaded the whole thing with taking off their wristbands, HE BACKED PIKE, participated in the massacre of a peaceful army sent to protect skaikru, he constantly shamed and blamed Clarke for everything that ever went wrong even when a lot of that stuff was either the best solution in a bad situation OR was an indirect fallout from something fucked up that skaikru had done. The sweaty little fucker was always trying to control/manipulate Clarke and skaikru and his own damn sister despite the fact that everything he ever planned himself turning out to be: A Terrible Idea. Basically the dude sucked but was held up on spindles of glorification as being this heroic uwu soft boy that wasn't actually supported by any one damn thing in canon when you actually look at it objectively. And I'm sure I'm even forgetting stuff. The dude just sucked.

Agian, that's my own two cents.

The other reason being, it's rollover from having to deal with blarks. Their constant harassment and shoving their fanon, non-existent ship down everyone's throat, while being entitled little brats throwing tantrums about them not happening at every turn has led from what probably would've been just a mild distaste for a character for most into loathing even the name. Understand I'm not saying the word harassment lightly. They were awful for years. Death threats and homophobia, spamming inboxes with hateful messages and sending awful pictures/memes etc. One even sent EJT a dick pic with Blark written on their penis. They sent memes non-stop about Lexa dying when people were still reeling from it. I'm not saying all Blarks are bad because they're not, but there was enough harassment and viciousness from a large enough and loud enough faction that at a certain point it becomes a blanket feeling of animosity toward the entire ship and everything that follows it.

As for disliking EJT. In reality, she used to be the fandom favorite. I mean she was our girl because she used to champion us and was hilarious about it. Go look up old cons and interviews with her. She was funny and great. Once upon a time E was our biggest cheerleader and dealt with A Lot of abuse and harassment from The Other fandom for it. I'm talking body shaming, slut shaming, comments about her intelligence, sexual harassment and trolling her about her boyfriends and very descriptive messages about how they wanted her to harm herself. The list goes on. And no one, especially not Bob who was the golden boy for The Other fandom, ever said a word in her defense. Never told his fans to stop or that he condemned it. Ever. Not once. That never sat well with clexas, but you can't control what other people do.

We had her back anyway. So, it was whatever. Gross, but whatever.

And then she married Bob. Which, and Blarks cannot seem to wrap their heads around this fact, literally no cared about. She could've just married him and kept being the same person and no one would've cared. In fact, the way this fandom loved her, at first everyone was like hmmm weird and sudden but good for her I guess! Be happy!

But then Bob's ex came forward with very serious allegations about her past relationship with him. She released a statement that you can easily find online and from that it painted a very dark picture of things that involved both him and EJT. As I'm someone who believes victims, I have no reason not to believe her, and since the very bizarre (non) rebuttal that EJT posted in reply made zero sense, that was that. It changed the lens of how a lot of people started looking at her.

Which leads me to the charities.

Hear a collective Clexa sigh.

They're a saga in themselves, but to sum it up as short as possible, EJT had been a part of a children's organization for YEARS that she herself helped set up. Clexas raised a lot of money for this charity through fundraising and selling fanart and we really cared about it. And literally within months of them being married, he became involved in it, and then shortly thereafter, magically they both had to "step away from it" for dubiously explained reasons. (Which, if you read his ex's statement, logical deduction of what probably actually happened will make more sense than what they claimed, and not in a good way.) Sensibly, they started recieving backlash from supporters because, again a lot of people had been helping this charity for years and all of a sudden she was just gone from it and all the projects were halted. I'm not blaming solely her for anything but to just cut and run like she did was sus to say the least.

So to steer away from that shitshow, they started another charity. With a bunch of right-wing MAGA nuts. Yeah. They weren't open or transparent about anything, no records of where any of the money was going, iirc no real legitimate charity registration/tax documentation that anyone could find (and in the US that's all public info sooooooo). It was a total clusterfuck that people started calling them out on from the start. At first they tried to ignore it and just keep collecting money by doing these ridiculous cameos as cash grabs, but just like the first charity, after a while (and a lot of initially unaccounted for money being raised) the poor little darlings just had to "step away for mental health reasons."

Which I would accept and support wholeheartedly because mental health is extremely serious... except funnily, they didn't stop doing the cameos. They kept doing those and charging their fans money to listen to them blather on about made up ~behind the scenes info~ about Blark stuff and it being super secretly canon but for a million reasons that they don't know and can't name, stopped it from happening. Claims of love scenes and kisses that have never been backed up by evidence (like a script) or corroborated by a single person involved in the show. But it's totally true guys, just trust them bro. So yeah, they've kept doing all that. Just... not giving the money they're charging for the cameos to their "charity."

So that's the meat of it, I might be forgetting things and smudging some finer details because it's been a long while ago, but I think you can get the gist. People don't like Bob because he was an ass to fans and EJT herself before them even getting married. He's said ableist things and quoted racists trying to sound smart and never once apologized for anything. He's been accused of abuse in his personal life and has never addressed it, only made his wife write a terrible fanfiction-esque response to appease his ardent followers. And frankly, she pissed off her fans. Once she married him, she completely flipped her personality from a funny charity doing, body positivity leading, cheerleading about "Clexa are soulmates" and "Lexa is the love of Clarke's life" girl, to doing personal cash grabs constantly while spewing all this made up Blark garbage that directly contradicts things they've both said in the past to please her faithful paying cameo fans (read his fans).

It's all left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth, to say the least.

And ya best believe if Alycia does some crazy shit, I'll turn on her too 🤷‍♀️ but honestly I'm not too worried about that cuz the girl is a cryptid who you literally can't pay to go to cons or do cameos

I'm not Jewish so I don't really have much of a personal stake in the situation but I must admit there is something about all this stuff that just feels...wrong...

I support Palestinian independence and I think what Israel is doing is objectively wrong. It does sorta seem they're trying to wipe the Palestinians out so they don't have to worry about them anymore, seeing as how they've been bombing places that were supposedly safe. Killing children will not bring the hostages back.

That being said, something about the way people are so quick to act as if Israel is the single most evil country in the world (as if others haven't also committed human rights violations) is so strange to me. And the way people are outright calling for the extermination of Israel, not even in a subtle way. Like it or not, there are people who live there and they won't have anywhere to go. Why is extermination of a group of people only okay if it happens to the right group of people? And all these things about how Israel is controlling the media, the claims that the 10/7 massacre was fake just because 40 babies weren't actually beheaded (and acting like it's sooooo out there and crazy to believe that that would actually happen), saying that Jewish people don't have a right to complain about feeling unsafe on campus because Palestinians have it worse... It's scary and the fact that NOBODY is being like "hey guys being pro-Palestine isn't an excuse to be antisemitic" when I'm sure they would have just 10 years ago is CRAZY. It's so easy to do and yet they don't do it. I don't think any criticism of Israel automatically equates to antisemitism, but it's clear to me that the situation is being leveraged to justify antisemitism and I just wish we could bring this up without people being like, "So you think murdering children is okay?" Like, no? You can't say a damn thing about it. Why did people get so extreme so quickly? What happened?

All this is to say I feel very conflicted about all this and although I'm sure you have people trying to paint you as a genocide enabler, I think your heart is in the right place. Okay I had to properly draft everything

Everything was made on the spot and tbh I completed it with the motivation to share with you when I sent that first ask I hadn't even gotten past the Soundwave depresso™ phase

Okay so this was actually a mashing of my other unspoken concepts just so I can lead up to write Moto Moto Soundwave and Moto Moto Shockwave scenes

The plot: Soundwave grieves the dead and listens to Optimus confessing his woes to the stars, and he gets inspired to defeat Megatron with community, not tyranny

He does this by making a Vehicon Tumblr account and teaches socialism to the masses for 3 weeks

But then Megatron is about to leave the planet for dark energon and he knows "Shit that's good but that's also bad" because dark energon does exist and who knows how much more insane he'll be when he gets back with an actual chunk of it?

When Vehicons become a bit more daring and gossipy Megatron begins to presume there's a dissenter amongst them. So Soundwave covers his tracks by hacking a Sims 4 account and dumping his Tumblr ID upon it, which leads to the whole Sims 4 database hacking his own gamer set up (not connected to the ship) and taking over his account, making it a public forum for Vehicons to post anonymous questions and answer with their own accounts through his account while discussing more politics

(remember how RID15 has a Vehicon that's independent? I can't fucking find his name on the wiki so forgive me) He's the leader of all this, with his right servo advisors Steve and (insert robot name joke here)(Axel maybe?) Axel is in the Sims 4 database while Steve is servo on deck with the leader

Soundwave tries to stop Megatron from leaving by reminding him of the dangers of alien god meth, meanwhile Ratchet is kidnapped by Vehicon leader and Steve (I wanted it to be Soundwave but unfortunately it would be character assassination :< ) they question him about human politics and ask if Optimus will really light their darkest hour. Ratchet is confused and pissed but answers honestly and devises a plan with theme which /is not/ part of the script but any genuine aid to end the war, especially after what Soundwave's been doing, is accepted and necessary

So the two 'abduct' Ratchet and he tries to send a message to Optimus but it's static due to interference by a solar storm so Optimus worries. Meanwhile Megatron has to stay back due to the solar storm so Soundwave has some more time, but then he panics when he sees footage of Ratchet in an unused lab on the Nemesis. He lets him stay to teach the Vehicons more socialism, but it turns into Ratchet adopting Knockout as his new student after so many years

This leads to the Vehicon uprising now that Ratchet has made everyone sobber from the numbness with his life story, and Vehicon leader dude (Imma call him Hookshaw), Knockout and Breakdown are taking directly after him. Soundwave has no grasp on anything anymore other than Megatron asking him /what the fuck, why don't they fear me?/ While Starscream is screeching, trying to take control now that Megatron is no longer recognised as the leader

Hookshaw comes up to a confused Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream and reveals everyone is done with their bullshit and they want their homeplanet back. Soundwave gets doxxed and Megatron feels the second betrayal by his closest friend. The third betrayal is immediate as Optimus wlaks through the Vehicons and comes to stand beside Hookshaw, with Ratchet at his side. Soundwave is confused but walks up to them at Optimus' call and Megatron is dead inside but the gravity of the situation weighs heavy on him and he's filled with rage but Optimus stops him from committing a massacre.

Starscream tries to make himself leader but Soundwave slaps him into a wall

I’m going to assume right here that you’re not looking to write Soundwave in character, since Aligned Soundwave definitely doesn’t have socialist values. OOC Soundwave is cool; I’m just making sure we’re on the same page so that I don’t point out OOC things needlessly.

I love the thought of Ratchet taking Knockout under his wing, but if Ratchet is with the 'Cons for several years, who takes care of the Autobots during that time? Or do they just miraculously get by without him?

I find it hard to believe that Soundwave would have 0 awareness or control over anything that’s happening at this point. He’s kept the Decepticons under his careful watch for eons, so unless he’s totally mentally checked out, he knows what’s been happening and has been guiding events as opportunities arise.

This got a genuine laugh out of me because just the other day, I told a friend that I’d have given a lot to see Soundwave make Starscream bleed at least once during the show.

Final thoughts:

I’m gonna be upfront with you: I have very particular tastes in Soundwave portrayals, and your idea is outside of my narrow tastes. This isn’t at all to say it’s a bad idea since everyone has their own tastes and takes on favorite characters; I’m just sharing my opinion to curb any future expectations. Also, just because it’s not my thing doesn’t mean I’m not still very curious.

Soundwave waking up and ditching Megatron is one of my favorite ideas to explore. However, it’s incredibly hard to pull off well unless the author dismisses parts of canon (which is always a valid option). I’m curious about where you see Soundwave ending up, now that he’s with Team Prime and the ex-Nemesis crew.

Finally, I’ll take WaveWave (romantic or platonic) over Megawave any day, so if that’s what’s fueling your fire, you have my thanks for choosing the Soundwave ship I can get behind 🔥

DARKNESS ARISE

It was the waiting, always that. It was daunting, not knowing where the crazed emperor was or what he was doing. He wanted to do more, he wanted to eradicate those fearful gazes etched on the faces of his sailors. He wanted to right the grave affront done towards them. Not out of justice only, but as revenge. He could understand those who picked up fights with the marines to escape, hell, he even understood the war Whitebeard started on that fateful year.

When loved ones were involved, he could understand very well the need to do everything to get them back. He would have done the same.

But seeking them out, just to massacre innocent people? That was too much to bear: he knew they had enemies, it was normal, but the normal people leaving on the island what sin had they committed, to get slaughtered like worthless ants?

He shot up from his chair, deciding a walk would do him good. He couldn't stand there and let his thoughts spiral, he had to remain in control. People depended on him.

As usual, he found Garp on the roof of the tower, looking at the sea. He stood beside him, admiring the quiet beauty the sea had to offer.

“I heard he's been put in a ward now. I'm glad he's alive” said Garp, not taking his eyes off the still waters, “Yes, I talked to Borsalino earlier. He said he was relieved, and I am too” he continued, before pausing.

“You know, you should take a break. You're working and thinking too hard about this. You should take a stroll through the compound, talk with people. Even play chess with Tsuru might be a good idea” said the other.

He was using the same words he said to Sakazuki when he saw him still working at ungodly hours. “Since when you've been this wiser?” asked with mirth Sengoku, taking the opportunity to let his mind rest, “I've always been this wise, you just never paid any attention” laughed Garp.

“I'm serious though, we are here to support each other, you have people working on this case. Just take time to breath. You are aware that letting revenge get to your head will lead to mistakes” he finished, before offering a rice cracker.

Taking it silently, he went back to admiring.

He was right, after all, he had to stay sharp and focused.

He told the same thing, later that day, to all his men. He knew he wasn't alone in this feeling, but he wanted, no, needed to avoid any more casualties.

He made sure to stop and talk with the injured vice admirals that were back to work, even though they should have been resting. They were all worried, about the injured soldiers, about their families and of course, about their comrade.

“He's a fighter, he's going to come through like a winner. You know how he is, he has never backed down from a challenge. Don't worry, especially not now that he's awake. We will deal with the aftermath later, when all of you are back to health. In the meantime, don't overdo it” he warned them.

They all nodded, before resuming their activities. It was nice seeing them smile and laugh again, after all they went through those pasr few months, finally things started to look their way again.

Freddy's body was left to get messed up.

The princess quest ending is clearly canon. Proof: Freddy's body left in fazer blast, in ar mode the princess quest 3 game has a golden sword stabbing it like a stereotypical hero killing the villian with a sword to the heart and heaving there sort of thing, the fact afton himself isn't really anywhere but the mimic is instead (and we see the blob for like a second doing its own thing in the underground).

We also finally see glamrock Bonnie's body... it's pretty messed up..

HEADCANONS BELOW

Now I'm gonna explain all the things I believe happened.

Monty didn't kill Bonnie. It was either afton and vanny for parts (which would explain why in his ending he could charge using one of the station pods), the rouge staff bots, or the mimic.

That is Freddy's body, I don't care if the word prototype is on the bottom, do you really think the company actually has the koney/motive to completely recreate a shell for then if not needed? If they did they could've EASILY fixed bonnie up.

Ruin happens during Cassie's birthday.

Gregory left Cassie, but I don't think he necessarily broke the elevator, if he did it would've been from a distance or by using some bot under his control since he IS patient 46 and a hacker according the the VERY CANON books.

The mimic didn't drop the elevator and wasn't the one talking through the speakers, it literally tossed away its communicater before the chase began and LOST AN ARM, which would've still been RIGHT NEXT to Cassie when she dropped.

Vanessa/Vanny is the friend Gregory was talking about, when he says his friends name the communicator garbles, which would happen if all her other hacked things were in place still. Im not gonna lie, gregory is the character I hate the most in this franchise, I hate him more than I do any variant of balloon boy/girl. I'd rather play the nightmare balloon boy game for an hour than play sb base game, and nightmare bb gives me nightmares.

Yoongi wouldn't be mad at the MC, everyone in the house has drank from humans before and killed them - it happens. If anything he's more worried about her and her mental state. She's already struggling with letting go of her human life and killing someone might push her over the edge. I think she would be in a pretty fragile state afterward and he would devote his time and attention to comforting her and making sure she's okay.

I don't think Namjoon would be mad either, I honestly think he would be quite encouraging. It was her first feed all on her own and from a human host nonetheless, I think he would praise her. She's a very young vampire - accidents like these are prone to happen. But she's also not massacring huge groups of people like Jungkook or Hoseok so he understands. I think he'd be happy that she is giving into "her nature" and becoming more of a predator. Honestly, he might get to her before Yoongi does and be the one to comfort her...I might use this for Namjoon's fic 👀

EVERYONE has privilege over some group in some area, no matter how many forms of oppression they personally experience.

EVERYONE has the responsibility to examine what unconscious biases they've absorbed from the world around them. (And it's not only possible, but pretty common, to be biased against groups you're a part of.)

Antisemitism means anti-Jewish bias.

For more than 1,000 years, there has been a vicious and still ongoing cycle, around the world, of expelling and massacring Jews; which reduces general exposure to and awareness of Judaism; which makes it much easier to buy into the biases that lead to expulsions and massacres.

Yemen was the most recent country to expell Jews.

In 2021.

It is highly likely that either you have unconscious biases against something you associate with Jewish culture, or you've already explored and unlearned those biases.

That wasn't the unpopular opinion part.

This is:

If you need to be coached not to blame random Jews for anything the literal government of an entire country does, you are antisemitic.

If you need a reason not to blame random Jews for anything the literal government of an entire country does, you are antisemitic.

Cate Dunlap x Detainer Astro Skibidi Toilet

||NO ONE ESCAPES JUSTICE||

It was a normal day on Godolkin University,Cate Dunlap was with Sam Riordan,who she just mind-Controlled to make him forgett about all his memories to turn him into a killing machine.

Cate set free all the prisoners from the woods causing chaos and ultimately a massacre on Godolkin.

She was tired of humans and wanted to see them death,she was out of control,screaming,crying and confused while Marie Moreau and Jordan Li desperately tried to stop the mind controller menace,hurting and killing supes in the process.

As the massacre continued a confrontation between Cate and Marie and Jordan Happened..

"Cate you have to stop!you are fucking crazy,innocent people is dying,this got out of control"Marie said out of breath

"We can talk about this Cate,just stop this nightmare please"Marie added

"They have used us for years,for their own benefit...,Marie im trying to save you all!"

Cate then began to cry

"Cate please,not all humans are like them...Just stop this please!"Marie Said

"But Marie you're not a person,you're a product to them,a freak Im trying to save you!"

Sam them appeared and saw a person trying to run away but he jumped at them like a beast and with a single punch exploded their head,shocking Marie and Jordan

Then she started to control other supes and peple to clean up the evidence,While sam was on a killing spree.

However the clouds started to change it's colour and a breeze started to feel over the campus

And humanoid man with a toilet as a body and an metalling armor with 3 claws with lasers

He travelled at the speed of the light,a lunatic speed impossible even for A-Train himself.

The man fled towards the Supes that where wrecking the chaos on the campus and one of them tried to attack him,firing an electric blast towards him,but he just stopped the energy with his claws and sent it back to the psycho supe exploding her.

Cate shocked told Sam to attack and he did,he charged towards the Astro Toilet trying to punch him but the astro just rammed him at an incredibly lunatic speed killing Sam.

He then started to destroys the supes causing the chaos,none of them stod a chance against him.

When he was about to end Cate he just smiled and got closer to her.

"You.....you did all of this,you deserve to get punished....."The Astro said in a deep voice and an annoyed face.

"S S-Sir i-im.... sorry i was j-just confu-fused...please forgive me....."Cate said in absolute fear

"Inmoral mortals should not be forgived"Astro Toilet Said

"But you....you look rather stunning...are you alone?"Astro added

"WHAT?!....W-Well i...my boyfriend died some time ago but im n-not in the mood f-for a rela-"She replied before being stopped by Astro

Detainer only catch them with his claws and forming a red power orb that he threw to homelander.

He avoided it and then detainer prepared to warp again but homelander just lasered him again while punching him,detainer used his magnetizer powers against him and also his retractable tentacles,it was a bloody fight that destroyed a good part of the university,Astro then did a very powerful attack that destroyed homelander and sent him directly to a pile of bricks

"Thomas Godolkin,Victoria Neuman,Stan Edgar,The seven...they already paid for their sins,you are the next John"Detainer said

The toilet pulled a large blade out of one of his claws and the destroyed homelander with it ending him once for all.

"OH MY GOD Y-YOU JUST KILLED HOMELANDER"Cate said in absolute shock

"He's nothing against me,he's just a pathetic worm"Astro said

"What the fuck,this day must be a dream,this can't be true"Cate said

Detainer then got closer to Cate and kissed her,her face was red as a tomato

Dunno if i am still on for the "talk to me i feel bad" show but you remember my varia boys right? You remember my oc Ava, Squalos lil brother who may be a lil obsessed?

Yeah i just recently realized that if he was a character in a dating sim two of his bad endings would be related to Squalo. Either the MC becomes a danger to Squalo/hurts him and he cuts them down or just stabs them

OR

they get TOO CLOSE to his brother and Ava ends up slowly (torturingly) choking them to death while saying how much they do not deserve to be by his side bc that is HIS brother and he will be the most important person in his life, fuck you.

Also since I am rewatching reborn, I've had thoughts.

So SOMEONE has to run the varia while the officers and boss arent there during the ring battles, so Squalo (bc xanxus cant be fucking bothered) puts Ser, Lorenzo, Leo and Ava in charge until they are back. Ava is ofc not happy about not being actively there to see his brother fight but ah, he'll take it since they get live transmission on a big screen!

And then Squalos fight occures. First shock: Squalo loses his fight.

Second: he gets eaten by a shark.

And thats when i realized. One of the reasons Dino FUCKING JETS TO CONFIRM SQUALO IS OKAY AND ALIVE would be because

Ava would've lost his mind and likely obliterated the entire remaining Varia. Its not like there are many strong enough to actually stop him when there is NOTHING he has left to lose. Usually he doesnt go unhinged, he doesnt have a reason for it snd as a swordsman he knows to have control over himself and his emotions. But if he loses SQUALO, his ONLY tether to sanity, all bets are off.

So Dino makes sure to save Squalo, not just to find out what actually is going on, or because they are old friends but bc DINO OFC KNOWS AVA, HE IS SQUALOS BROTHER AFTER ALL, THEY MET! and just thinks "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, I HAVE TO MAKE SURE SQUALO IS ALIVE BEFORE WE GOT A MASSACRE ON HAND!!!"

Meanwhile the situation at HQ is fucking tense as shit. NOBODY dares to say anything or even move at first as they stare at Ava whose eyes are still glued to the static of the screen. Lorenzo, hand slowly to his weapons, is already getting ready to interfere once Ava snaps and Sergey very cautiously just goes

"A-Ava...?"

And then Avas phone rings. He mindlessy takes the call and Dino just loudly blurts

"Ava, he is alive!! We got Squalo and are getting him into medical care right now!"

"Dino...?"

"Yes! Yes, Ava its me! I made sure my men would get a hold of your brother, so you dont need to-- he's alive, okay?!"

"Ah... I see... Thank you, Dino."

Sergey slumps back in his seat, Leo leans against the nearest wall and exhales and Lorenzo relaxes, hands now off his weapons and crossed in front of his chest.

Cavallone better not lie about this, or Ava is going to go for him next.

"Dino." And Avas voice turns cold in a way that is very clearly not very mentaly stable.

"Please make sure that he stays alive and recovers properly."

And for a second everybody tenses again.

"Y-yes of course! Don't worry about that, everything will be allright!!"

The call ends and Sergey feels the cold sweat still on his back.

"Ava, you're fucking terrifying for a 16 year old, you know that?"

I just thought its a funny thought. So often the Varia is haled as this organisation of almost superhuman assassins, but it cant just be the main officers and the boss who are absolute maniacs.

You’re still on for that, but gosh the way you put that makes me feel both called out but is so incredibly accurate. I honestly do love how straightforward you are in things and as a person; it’s one of my favourite things about you 😊 Also, oh my good god, can I just say how happy I was to read this and that you sent it in as an ask so all my readers can read about these boys?! The Varia boys honestly have my heart and I adore them!

I love that you thought out what the boys would be like in a dating sim, because that’s just such a cool thought pattern and it’s also something that I love thinking about! It’s just a lot of fun figuring out what the routes would look like for characters, especially people like your Varia boys, where dating definitely isn’t the utmost importance to them and Ava’s bad endings sound heartbreaking and brutal but like things I would playthrough and find cheat guides for just to see them all played out. Also, how goes the rewatch? How far along are you?? Any episodes you were really glad to see again or arcs that you feel aren’t as much your favourites?

Also love your thoughts! The Varia’s missions and base being left to the most elite of the underlings makes perfect sense, especially these boys where they’re all very much trusted by the commanding officers. But at the same time, I feel so bad for Ava because I know he would have killed to be able to be there to see his brother wipe the floor during the Ring Battle and to finally wear the completed Rain Guardian ring…or you know, that’s how everyone figured it would go. All of your thoughts were just so lovely and I had so much fun reading them! Thank you for the smiles and the ‘holy, that’s so interesting’ moments 😊 Also, you write dialogue so well, just saying!
